With my birthday, of course, my sister, brother and all the kids were there. Daniel is my godchild and already 5 yrs. Camille is the little daughter and she is so cute. My sister has also a third child: Louis but I think he was sleeping that moment.

Waw, it is my birthday today and I got a camera from my nice friends. As you can see I did not blog for a few weeks (2 months). Well, it were 2 months here in Brussels that I needed to adapt and I do not want to keep them in my memory. Now, I feel that it is a new start and that begins with a new camera. Thanks Robin, Paola, Christopha, Maggy, Rob, Elie and Annelies for this surprise.
No ventilator, shoes, fitness subscription, body lotion but a camera!!!!!

Short trip to Bonn

Bonn
Originally uploaded by Eva Mattheeussen.
Last week, we had a little reunion in Brussels with Jennie, Kasia, Eva V. and myself. After having a detailed update from Jennie, I left with her on Friday to Bonn. After running like crazy to catch the train and with a bit of delay, we reached the restaurant by 21h30 and we met Piyush and Amit who had their farewell diner. In the evening, we decided to go to Putzchen Markt. (last year I missed this). It was very spontaneous and lots of fun. Amit, Piyush, Segala and myself decided to go in the big swing. Really scary!
In the late late evening, we went to a kind of beertent (mini Oktoberfest) and we had lots of fun. Back home in the early morning. On Saturday, we did some shopping in Cologne and in the evening we went out in Hausbar. There were so many new faces but I also had the opportunity to catch up with all the older trainees of Bonn.

26th of August FINALLY BACK ONLINE

Mini reunion

Thanks to Maggy and Christophe, I have internet at home. Being at home without internet feels really strange.

My time in Bonn is over. I am really sad to leave this great place with his great people but on the other side, a new challenge is waiting for me in Brussels. My last weekend in Bonn was really great. Friday we had a BBQ with 30 people along the Rhine, unfortunately I lost my camera and this weekend, one month later, Amit called me that they found it back. So pics will follow soon.
During my last weekend in Bonn, I had transition with my nice successor Segala. We ended up in the office and in the evening I asked to the trainees to go to the Chinese boat for diner. It was really nice. After the Chinese boat, we went to the Rheinlandische Museum to have a salsa party there. Sunday was a sleep in, some more transition and in the evening, around 10 people were joining me to Köln. THANKS FOR THAT.

Now, I am working in the regional office in Diegem. It is very hectic but until now I like what I am doing. Need to get used to the speed of working here. I am settling in here in this place in Brussels and have a nice flatmate, Robin.
In the meanwhile, I had already some visitors: Bonnie, Dee, Jonathan, Maria, Gee, some people from AIESEC in Belgium and last weekend Zsolt, my friend and colleague from Bonn came before going for an AC in Bonn. We spent a nice weekend here in Brussels and hope to keep in contact.

This weekend, Thea was here. She was my MCP and she was here for her holidays. We had a nice evening in Brussels and on Saturday, we went for diamond shopping in Antwerp. We also catches up with Evy, Florian and Maggy. Sunday, we had a pancake afternoon and tomorrow Thea is heading back to Libya.

Voilà, that is everything in a nutshell. Keep you informed about my life here.

Back home in Bonn; I had a fantastic weekend: Maggy and Filip came to Bonn. We biked the whole weekend and we had a great BBQ along the Rhine. We played Risk until 4h in the morning and this pic is made in the Fontaine near by the main station in Bonn with a nice "Schloss" in the background.

Salsa!

Last week was really a full program but I enjoyed it! On friday, Jennie organised a surprise party for the birthday of Daniel. I hosted it in my room and it was really fun. We played mafia mafia and talked till late in the morning. Saturday was Natasha and Andrews byebye party:( We had a BBQ along the Rhine and the Portugal won from Mexico. Naja! The next day I went home to visit Louis, my sisters new babyboy. He is sooo cute. (but most babys are, nope?) And then I had the great opportunity to use this Mitfahren (a german concept which I do NOT recommend at all). My first and last experience. On monday we went to our weekly salsa course. We started with 5 pairs and now we are only 2 pairs left. On the picture you see my office mate Bonnie and his princess Jennie. Today there was the "last drink of Natasha and Andrew" but I am not sure if they are really leaving now:)
I WILL MISS THEM
