After the Münchenfesten, we visited also the Olympia stadium in München. This city is really great. It is changing my mindset of Germany...
Up to München
This weekend, we went with 4 cars full of trainees from Bonn to the Oktoberfesten in München. As a trainee in Germany you have to experience this Bavarian tradition. After work, arriving there at midnight, waking up at 5h30 and up to the TENT. I cannot believe that people go there day after day. We went there from 8 in the morning till 4 in the afternoon and for me personally, that was really enough. In the meanwhile, I catched up with the trainees from Brussels: Carol, Juliane, Ewa and Michal. Ola was also there. Sunday, AIESEC provided a guided tour in München. It is such a nice city. They have a very wealthy life and they are proud of their city. Before we left, we decided to visit the Olympic stade. The view was nice. Coming back through Stuttgart took us a really long time, so we were back around 3 in the night so this was a short night before the new working week starts.

Maasmechelen – Maasstricht – Antwerpen – Aachen
This weekend, we rented a Fiat Panda and we decided to go to Leisure Valley in Limburg, called outlet Maasmechelen. After buying a nice purse and a present, we visited Maasstricht. The city is really nice: the Stokstraat and other small streets, a very old church and so much more. Zsolt, Maria and I decided to go to Antwerp and we stayed at my place. Of course, they need to taste the Belgian Fries. “A lot like love” was playing in Metropolis, a really good movie and after that, a sangria in “de Negen Vaten”. On Sunday, I guided my guests through Antwerp before leaving to Aachen. In Aachen, we saw the Cathedral and we walked through the city and we saw the nice flat of Maria.

My broter get married!
Saturday, 10th of September, my brother and his girlfriend Els say YES to each other and after a nice ceremony, we started to celebrate. Martinushoeve in Zandvliet was the place to be. After a nice buffet and we started dancing pretty early. Being in Bonn, it is nice to see family and friends. It was a fantastic day. There will be pictures following soon. Now, I took a day off so I can start fresh on Tuesday morning.

We all work for the yellow company...
Same melody as "yellow company"
In the land where you are now,
there´s a man who wants to ship a box
Quick & safe and hassle free
At the yellow company
We all work for the yellow company
Yellow company,
Yellow company,
At our work, we have great fun
Whilst we ship every ton
Peru to Prague, Hong Kong to Bonn
You can count on us to have it done
It all happens at the yellow company,
Yellow company
Yellow company
Dynamic & diverse are the DHL interns
A great challenge where each one learns
At Yellow Company
So come find out `bout the yellow company
Yellow company,
Yellow company. (2x)

Exciting day, week,...
Yesterday, I went to Brussels to visit the DHL office and to meet some managers and trainees. It was really good to see some names next to some faces. Besides that, we raised 3 traineeships and 1 is hopefully already realised in less than 1 day:)
Today, there is the Sommerfest in the tower. It is going to be very nice all day, afternoon, evening long...
Tomorrow afternoon I am off to Antwerp for the wedding of my brother. This is just fantastic. I will have a day off on Monday and on Tuesday I an start extremely motivated with my job.

DHL delegation at IC in India
Last week, I was in India at the AIESEC International Conference in Agra as DHL delegate. It was a really great experience but as you can imagine, too short. But still I had a good time. Besides the conference, we visited the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort. In the picture you can see the trainees from Bonn and from Signapore.
